ANSONIA CT USA, June 11, 2014 - Farrel Pomini, a leading producer of plastic compounding and processing equipment, announced plans for a new facility to be constructed in either Ansonia CT or Oxford CT where they currently operate their R&D Laboratory. The announcement was made on June 10, 2014 by Paul Lloyd (CMBU Director) and Paul Zepp (Site Director) at an employee communications meeting attended by 90 employees.
The new facility will be a built for purpose, modern and efficient facility and will consolidate operations, administrative offices and laboratory into one facility. Farrel Pomini is currently located in downtown Ansonia CT, where it has been for over 100 years where they are spread out over three separate buildings. The new sites being evaluated are located in Business Parks.
The current plan is for the new facility to be ready for operation in the fall of 2015. They have completed an initial architectural design of the 60,000 square foot facility and are working to finalize Federal, State and Local incentives without which the investment would not be possible.
Paul Zepp (Site Director) stated, "The is an exciting time for Farrel Pomini and its employees. This signals a long term commitment from our owners and is the result of the hard work and success of all the Farrel Pomini employees worldwide. We have been working very hard to make the CMBU successful and grow significantly to compensate for the loss of the rubber business recently relocated to other HF Mixing Group locations. This new facility will provide the perfect home for Farrel Pomini and will be an excellent setting for customers to visit. It will show that Farrel Pomini is here to stay and is making a significant commitment to the future of its customers and employees."
